Text Box: Escuela Nuevo Horizonte Text Box: Our School The split-level building, considered the hub of the community, is currently serving several hundred early childhood and elementary school students. Eventually, we will serve 700 students from preschool through high school. Besides the core curriculum, children also study Spanish, English, Guarani, music, computers, and Christian education. Community Programs Computer, English, Sewing, and Bible Study classes Youth and Adult Alternative Basic Education On The Horizon…. We have future plans to: Expand the school library Add a grade level every year Serve an additional 50 to 60 students each year Construct an assembly sports center Text Box: How You Can Help: Our school was built entirely on faith. God touched the hearts of many people to make this dream a reality. We ask the children’s families to pay about $3.50 a month so they will value their child’s education. To supplement the cost, we are looking for sponsors to give $30 a month. The funds cover the cost of the school operations: books, materials, staff, maintenance, and snacks for the younger children. Text Box: Paraguay, a little-known country overshadowed by its neighbors Argentina and Brazil, is full of potential and possibilities. Although it is still suffering from the effects of a 35-year dictatorship, Paraguay is slowly trying to rebuild itself spiritually, politically, and culturally. And what better way to encourage some of these changes than through the power of education.
