The New Horizon School of Paraguay is a beacon of light in a country that is 3rd in the world in corruption, more than 40% live in extreme poverty (living off $2 or less a day per family), public schools are overcrowded, poorly funded and children receive less classroom hours than those in other South American countries. The vision of the New Horizon School, a Christian school in Lambare just outside Asuncion, is to train and prepare a new generation of leaders who are guided by Biblical principles and the Holy Spirit.
Our school was built entirely on faith. God touched the hearts of many people to make this dream a reality. We ask the children's families to pay approximately $4.50 or more a month (depending on their ability to pay). When the families have a vested interest, they will value their child's education. To supplement the cost, we are looking for sponsors to donate $420 per year which equals $35 per month. The funds cover the cost of the school operations: Books, materials, staff, maintenance and snacks for the younger children.
