Good Morning! My first report today is of praise. With the PA Work team we were able to share the gospel with a total of almost 2300 different children plus the three hundred plus Sunday School children we shared with last Saturday afternoon. Many in that group we saw in other schools. Praise the Lord for this group and the many materials they have left behind such as clown outfits; clown make- up paint; evangelistic materials to give the children; story books and resources to put in the library. Also, we are sending some of the resources to Caaguazú and the Susana Wesley School.
We invited Pastor David Stain to share with the parents of the school. The night of the service, it was so cold but many still came and many requested prayer for family problems. One Mom who came forward for prayer has suffered much in the past few weeks. Her husband has abandoned her and now she and all her children must move to Argentina with family members as she has no work. Please pray for them.
The team finished their work on Tuesday, we are group sharing in Cerro Cora. The director warned me to be careful what we shared because she often got “heat” from her parents…(this has been a very difficult neighborhood for us to evangelize). I was amazed at the response of the children and many afterwards said they want to come to Sunday School. Please pray that the bondages in the Barrio of Cerro Cora can be broken.
On Wednesday, Ruth (a Brazilian missionary) and I took the team to Brazil to visit the Itaipu Dam and Iguazu waterfalls. We left around 1 AM Wednesday morning and I return home about 1:30 AM on Thursday. When teams come they try to maximize their time by traveling most of the 6 hours during the night time hours. That would be great if one could sleep. I had a good time but by early afternoon I knew I had caught what was circulating in the group…strep throat. Please pray for me as I continue to recover.
This next week is “Dia del Niño” or as we would say, “Children’s Day! We have special activities scheduled for the school and church for the children. Also, thanks to all our sponsors for their financial donations and the gifts they sent Megan, the children in the school are going to receive an awesome bag of goodies.
Yesterday we welcomed a new missionary family sent by Latin America Mission, Alberto and Joanna Parade and their three children. Alberto and Joanna visited two and an half years ago and so it is great to now welcome them to the field. Please pray for them as they get adjusted and begin their mission work.
Well, I must run some errands today so I will close for now. Thanks for all your prayers for all we are doing, for our health and especially for my computer that I can get the data base-email problem resolved.
Love,
Sue
