May 2010 Anonymous Donor Offers Matching Gift for School in Paraguay By David Webb
Are you up for a challenge? For children in Paraguay who need a safe school, you could make the difference. People who support mission through The Advance come from all over. Some are younger and some are older. They come from all backgrounds and places. And some like to challenge others to meet crucial needs. A donor who wishes to remain anonymous has pledged up to $50,000 in support for Advance #3021089, New Horizon Methodist School in Paraguay. The donor will match each dollar that is given to this project from June 1, 2010 through June 1, 2011. New Horizon Methodist School offers Christian education to more than 520 students in a violence- and crime-ridden area. The school offers rich instruction grounded in Christian principles and supplemented with arts and recreation. By sharing the Good News with students, the expectation is that these young people will grow into leaders who will make a future difference in Paraguay and beyond.
The Advance respects the anonymity of this donor, while celebrating such generosity. And with this sponsor walking the second mile with you, imagine the possibilities of making a difference in the lives of children at New Horizon Methodist School.
